Sammy Corbit Creef, 87, of the 200 block of N. Lakeshore Drive, died Feb. 26, 1996.
He was a retired tugboat engineer for Seafarers International Union and a native of East Lake, N.C. He was a member of Chesapeake Baptist Tabernacle, Chesapeake, and was a Chesapeake First Senior Citizen. Mr. Creef was a former resident of Elizabeth City, N.C., Nags Head, N.C., and a long time resident of Chesapeake.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Fife Creef; daughter, Pamela Robbin Greene of Louisa; son, Sammy Foster Creef of Chesapeake; brother, George Creef of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
