Emily Bodkin, 92, of Bonney Road, died Feb. 23, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
She was a native of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Hilda Bodkin of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Lucille Potter of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Jacob Miller of Virginia Beach; aunt, Viola German of Mt. Pleasant; two grandsons-in-law, Arthur and Courtney; grandchildren, Edward, Betty, Sally, Emily and Carleton; four great-grandchildren, Livingston, Morgan, Margello and Kwanzaa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Light Baptist Church, 5549 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y. P.G. Thomasson Funeral Service Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
