Marion P. Artis, 67, of the 900 block of Ellington Square, died Feb. 25, 1996, in Sentara Nursing Center, Portsmouth.
She was a retired bus driver for the Portsmouth City Public School System and a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Olive Branch Church, Portsmouth.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger W. Artis; and a host of cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by the Rev. J.B. Sharpe. Burial is in Olive Branch Baptist Church. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Thursday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
