VIRGINIA BEACH - Virginia E. Peters, 74, died at her home in Thoroughgood on the evening of Feb. 24, 1996.
Mrs. Peters, predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Joseph F. Peters, USA (Ret.), was a real estate agent and broker in the Tidewater area for many years prior to her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia D. Miller of Virginia Beach; her son, Joseph F. Peters Jr. of Vienna, Va.; a sister, Ida Gillikin of Beaufort, N.C.; three grandsons, Mike Peters of Vienna, Va., Gary Peters of Falls Church, Va. and Joe Miller of North Shore, Hawaii; four granddaughters, Kari Coffield, Cynthia Jo Howard, Lauren Miller, all of Virginia Beach, Katherine Nelson of Fairfax, Va.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the family estate at Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
