A dispute between father and son turned deadly Sunday night after the father stabbed the son, then allegedly was shot to death by a third person, police said.
Benjamin Gurny Spivey, 55, of the 800 block of City Park Ave. was pronounced dead at the scene after stabbing his son, Marc D. Spivey, 31, in the chest.
The dispute occurred just before 11 p.m.
Police believe the third person, whose identity was not released, shot Spivey to intervene in the dispute.
Marc Spivey of the 4000 block of King St. was listed in stable condition Monday in a hospital.
