GENE S. CAHOON

Gene Stanley Cahoon, 53, died Monday Feb. 26, 1996.

He was born in Columbia, N.C., and had been a Peninsula resident for 16 years before moving to Kill Devil Hills. He was a member of Hampton Loyal Order of Moose, Warwick Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge (NU)1711, and received fellowship degree from Warwick Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie S. Cahoon; a daughter, Alisa J. Bryan of Newport News; three sons, Thomas G. Cahoon, Gene Scott Cahoon, both of Kill Devil Hills, David Norris Cahoon of Newport News; his mother, Elsie S. Cahoon of Norfolk; three sisters, Earlene Smith of Norfolk, Amanda and Brandy Cahoon of Columbia; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Amory Funeral Home Chapel, Grafton, Va., by the Rev. James D. Moynihan. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. The family will receive their friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Outer Banks Cancer Support Group, P.O. Box 3384, Kill Devil Hills, N.C. 27948.
