Lee E. Six

VIRGINIA BEACH - U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Lee E. Six, 40, of the 1900 block of Dolina Drive, died Feb. 20, 1996, in an automobile accident in Walterboro, S.C., while on assignment with the U.S. Navy.

Chief Petty Officer Six was stationed with the U.S. Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, In-Service Engineering, East Coast Division in Norfolk. Chief Petty Officer Six was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kempsville Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline L. Six; three daughters, Kimberlee Suzanne Six, age 12, Aimee Elizabeth Six, age 8, and Elise Jayne Six, age 3; his parents, James and Dorene Six of Mears, Mich.; two brothers and their respective wives, Ronald and Cathy Six of Montague, Mich., Layne and Marta Six of Mears; and a sister and her husband, Raelene and Jerry Goforth of Madison, Tenn.

A funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kempsville Ward, with Bishop Frank Niepraschk officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church today from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Chief Lee E. Six Children's Memorial Fund c/o Navy Federal Credit Union Oceana Branch, Building 528, 5th Street, NAS, Virginia Beach. Chief Petty Officer Six was a loving and dedicated husband, father and son. He lived life to the fullest, touching the lives of all he met with love and caring. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
