Two Norfolk men were arrested recently in connection with two murder cases from earlier this month, police spokesman Larry Hill reported Tuesday.
The first arrest occurred Friday when Lewis Ricks, 20, was taken into custody without incident at his home in the 400 block of San Antonio Blvd. He was charged with murder and use of a firearm in the Feb. 16 slaying of Veronica A. White of Norfolk.
White, 22, was found shot several times in the 800 block of Denison Ave. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Police are still investigating a motive in that case.
Another man was arrested Monday in connection with the killing of 17-year-old Dennis Babb Feb. 14.
Police and paramedics found Babb, of Norfolk, lying in the street in the 800 block of Fremont St. He died there.
Eugene Bess, 20, was charged with murder and use of a firearm in a felony. Bess, of the 3400 block of Seay Ave., was arrested at his home.
