EDNA B. NIXON

Edna Bernice Nixon of the 300 block of Hardy Ave. died Feb. 24, 1996, in her home.

She was retired since 1989 after 36 years of service. She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of Robert L. Nixon. She was a member of First Baptist Church Berkley, where she was Toast Master and a member of Eastern Star (NU)34.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Viola Nixon of Virginia Beach; son, Arthur Nixon of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Sirena Nixon and Andrae Nixon, both of Virginia Beach; an aunt, Margaret Johnson of Portsmouth; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Little in First Baptist Church Berkley. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
