JOSEPH R. QUADE JR.

Joseph Russell ``Joey'' Quade Jr., 31, died Feb. 26, 1996.

He was a carpenter for Seagull Construction Inc. and was a native of LaPlata, Md. He was a Christian. Joey was a hard worker and he loved all his family and friends. He also loved to tinker on his car, which he fondly called the Green Machine. Joey was a good mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and cooking. He had a love for animals.

He is survived by his mother, Katherine R. Collins of Norfolk; stepfather, Jerry Collins of Norfolk; two sisters, Paula Jean Childress of Leonardtown, Md., and Katy Ann Quade of Columbia, S.C.; nieces and nephews including, Amanda K. Childress, Beth Sharp and Adam Brian Childress; also aunts and uncles; close friends, Ginny and Darryl Warner and Charlie Faust, all of Chesapeake; as well as many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Quade Sr.; and his brother, John Anthony Quade.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Warren Wilson in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
