Gallagher, ``the king of Sledge-O-Matic,'' will appear at Willett Hall at 8 p.m. March 14.
Gallagher, a comedian known for smashing fruits, vegetables and other snack items and raining them on his audience, has spent the last 15 years honing his comic relief.
He offers commentary on everything from Bosnia to President Clinton's alleged extramarital affair, as well as his trademark Sledge-O-Matic routine.
``I want people to look more closely at this country and their lives - to see the humor and absurdity in it all and to look behind their sense of limitations into how things might be,'' he said.
Tickets for Gallagher's performance can be purchased through Ticketmaster and at the Willett Hall Box Office. Prices are $22 for the first 10 rows and $18.50 for all other seats.
