Clyde M. Gruhl Jr., 52, of the 1100 block of Clarence St., died suddenly on Feb. 27, 1996.
He was retired from the Navy after completing a career of 25 years and was a veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association VFW (NU)4809, and the El Rincon De Espana of Virginia Beach. He was employed by Son Cross Services and worked as a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde M. Gruhl Sr. He is survived by his mother, Winnifred E. Gruhl and his wife, Carmen. He is also survived by his daughter, Michelle A. Gruhl of Norfolk; a sister, Linda Manning; and a brother, Joseph Gruhl, both of New York. He shall be missed by a host of friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. today with services to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Rev. Warren R. Chapman officiating. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
