Georgiana Photinos Lira, died Feb. 29, 1996.
Mrs. Lira was a born in Norfolk. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and was most recently employed by R.M.S. Technologies in Berea, Ohio.
She is survived by one daughter, Anika T. Lira of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one son, Christopher W. Lira of Petaluma, Calif.; her mother, Sophia Soltys of Virginia Beach; and one brother, William Photinos of Virginia Beach. She was a warm, loving person who brightened the lives of many. She will be missed by all.
A church service will be conducted at 12 p.m. today at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Constatine Rogakos. Burial will be at Forest Lawn. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 7220 Granby Street, Norfolk, or the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling arrangements.
