Helen Pauline Wiggins Hewitt, 66, of Route 4, Box 92, died Friday, March 1, 1996, in her home.
She was a native of Hertford County and a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church. She was a former sales clerk for Cato's of Ahoskie.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Hewitt; six sons, Thomas J. Hewitt, Paul S. Hewitt, Mike Hewitt, Joe D. Hewitt, Gray W. Hewitt, all of Ahoskie, and Jimmy R. Hewitt of Kelford, N.C; sister, Gertrude W. Holloman of Harrellsville, N.C; brothers, J.C. Wiggins and Billy Wiggins, both of Ahoskie; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Stoney Creek Cemetery by the Rev. Robert May. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorial gifts may be made to Roanoke-Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
