Charles Sullivan Jr., 58, of the 500 block of Byron St., died Feb. 27, 1996 in Portsmouth.
Mr. Sullivan, who was born in Birmingham, Ala., had an associate's degree in education from Tidewater Community College. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief after 20 years of service and worked for the City of Norfolk as an electrician for over 10 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandy Sullivan of San Diego, Calif., Shana Randolph of Colts Neck, N.J.; four sons, Damian Sullivan of El Toro Calif., Charles Sullivan III, Mark Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, all of Birmingham; his father, Charles Sullivan Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio; five sisters, three brothers, two grandchildren; a devoted cousin, William Heflin of Chesapeake; and friends.
A funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service Chapel, Norfolk, the Rev. Joseph Lassiter presiding. The burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 2708 Whitestone Ave., Chesapeake on Monday at noon for the procession to the chapel. Military rites will be accorded at the gravesite.
