THE SNACK WAS FIT FOR A PRESIDENT

Chuck Voight, owner of Osprey Island Grille in Nags Head, can claim

he has fed everyone from beachcombers to a president - even if it's

an unplanned event. Voight was providing the sandwiches for his

brother Ric Voight's meeting on curbing violence on television in

Alexandira, Va., that was attended by President Clinton. But Voight

forgot to put the sandwiches out. The hungry president dined on the

forgotten sandwiches after the meeting and later posed for this most

personal thank-you with, from left to right, Tipper Gore, wife of

the vice president; Vice President Al Gore Jr.; Mary Ellen Dwyer,

Ric Voight's mother-in-law; Jo Voight; Voight and Clinton.
