H. Stuart Brinkley, 82, a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, died March 1, 1996, in a Virginia Beach Nursing Center.
He was a retired milk truck driver for Shumadine Dairy. He was a native of Norfolk and the widower of Kathleen Shumadine Brinkley. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a former partner in the Denney and Brinkley Grocery Store in Kempsville.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen B. and her husband, James W. Pennington of Chesapeake; sister, Martha W. Brinkley of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Timothy and Robyn Pennington of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Dr. Kenneth Barnes in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Kempsville Rescue Squad.
