Irene S. Langley, 74, formerly of Chesapeake, died Feb. 28, 1996, in Sierra Vista, Ariz.
Miss. Langley, a native of Bayboro, N.C. was retired from the civil service at the Naval Ammunition Depot after 32 years. She was a member and a former financial secretary of Brent-Lox Baptist Church prior to her move to Arizona due to ill health.
Survivors include a sister, Vernelle L. Brown of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; niece, Connie B. Hays of Herteford, Ariz.; three nephews, Danny R. Brown of Hereford, James D. Brown of Phoenix, Ariz., Archie L. Brown of Tucson, Ariz.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday at Brent-Lox Baptist Church, by the Rev. Jasper Morris and Rev. Steve Turner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Brent-Lox Baptist Church or the Gideons International. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
