Elsie Lee Adams, 89, of 4775 Bridge Road, died Saturday, March 2, 1996.
She was a native of Whaleyville, Va. She was first married to the late Frank Brock, and later to the late Paul Cary Adams. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy E. Benton of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sons, Paul M. Adams of Norfolk, George E. Adams of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. G.W. Harley and Chaplain Ron Rice. Burial is in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, N.C. at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gospel Hour, Inc.
