CARROLL G. BARROW

Carroll Gibbs Barrow, 77, of the 2400 block of Drum Creek Road, died Sunday, March 3, 1996, at his residence.

A native of Bridgeton, N.C., Mr. Barrow was retired as a sheetmetal worker from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

Survivors include four sisters, Miriam Sumrell of Virginia Beach, Marilyn Orlando and husband, Jim, of Virginia Beach, Gerry Cuthriell and husband, Floyd, of Chesapeake, and Carolyn Miltier and husband, Lewis (Ed), of Chesapeake; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. George F. Mullinax. The family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Endowment Fund of Western Branch Baptist Church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
