Bettie Humphreys Curtis, 90, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996.
She was born in Love, Va., on July 3, 1905. She retired from Eastern State Hospital as a practical nurse with 20 years of service. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her three sons, Thomas B. Curtis of Chesapeake, Rommie R. Curtis of Suffolk, Johnnie M. Curtis of Newport News; two daughters, Katie C. Gibson and Sallie Mason, both of Chesapeake; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Williamsburg Memorial Park with the Rev. Henry R. Pillow officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Service, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, 23188.
