Erleen Lilley Miller, 61, of Highway 137, died Tuesday, March, 5, 1996, in Duke Medical Center, Durham.
Mrs. Miller was born in Gates County. She was the daughter of the late McIver and Mrs. Iolia Mullen Lilley and was a retired teacher in the Gates County Public School System after 34 years of service. She was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church, The Gatesville Woman's Club and the Alpha Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Surviving are her husband, R.E. Miller Jr.; two sons, Ed Miller III and George McIver Miller, both of Gates; two sisters, Elsie Felton of Winton and Paige Underwood of Hertford; brother, Dr. Mullen Lilley of Scotland Neck; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thrusday in the Gatesville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lisa Creech-Bledsoe and the Rev. Billy Presley. Burial will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m in Miller Funeral Home and all other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gatesville United Methodist Church or the Gates County Rescue Squad.
