City Manager Myles E. Standish is expected to issue a report to the City Council tonight that will include methods for the city to monitor Falcon Cable's service.
If the council approves the report, Standish will be authorized to set up a hot line for Falcon customers to register complaints. The hot line will allow the city to keep track of viewers' criticism and how Falcon responds.
The report will ask the City Council to authorize City Attorney C. Edward Roettger Jr. to study the franchise and hire a consultant to make a recommendation about what the city should do with Falcon's franchise. The cable company has long been a source of friction among customers, who call city officials to complain about cable outages, rates and service. by CNB
