MARIAN H. GREEN

Marian H. Green, 72, of the 200 block of Diamond Ave., died March 5, 1996, at Southeastern Georgia Regional Medical Center, Brunswick, Ga.

Mrs. Green, the widow of Charles Green, was a retired teacher aide from the Chesapeake City Public School System. She was a native of Norfolk County and a member, trustee, and senior choir member of Rehoboth A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake. She was formerly employed at the Professional Building, Portsmouth, and was a former medical assistant for the late Dr. Neil Callahan.

Survivors include a daughter, Collette Green Carr and her husband, Howard of St. Marys, Ga.; a granddaughter, Pamela Seward Kennedy and her husband, Joe, of Chesapeake; a grandson, Leslie Seward III and his wife, Tiffany, of East Man, Ga.; a great-grandson, Joseph L. Kennedy of Chesapeake; a sister-in-law, Elsie Lee of Chesapeake; a brother-in-law, Alvin Harris of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rehoboth A.M.E. Church by the Rev. Willie L. White Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Saturday. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, 4318 Manchester Lane, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the funeral. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
