EVELYN M. BERGER WEINBERG

Evelyn M. Berger Weinberg, of the 6400 block of Auburn Drive, died March 5, 1996.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1911, she was the widow of Alfred Lionel Weinberg. She was a graduate of Pratt Institute and was an active supporter and volunteer for the New York Diabetic Association and its summer camp for diabetic children.

Mrs. Weinberg was a devoted mother and mother-in-law to Susan and Jim Eilberg and loving grandmother to Seth and Herbert Eilberg, all of Norfolk. She also leaves her sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Sam Naidich of Great Neck, New York; and brother-in-law, Sy Winston of Norfolk.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Yael Fischman. The family will receive friends at 6061 Newport Crescent, Norfolk. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia or the Weinberg/Eilberg Family Fund of the Tidewater Jewish Foundation.
