Ernest Cobb Abrams Sr., of the 200 block of Fighter Drive, passed away March 6, 1996, at his residence. Mr. Abrams retired from the city of Virginia Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; two sons, Ernest Abrams Jr. and his wife, Janice, and Mark Abrams, all of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Charlie Abrams of North Carolina and Jimmy Abrams of Norfolk; two sisters, Mary Ellen Clarey and Selma Abrams, both of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Mellissa, Lindsey and Michelle.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 8, at 1 p.m. in the Church of Christ, 501 15th St., Virginia Beach, with the Rev. Aza Lowe presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or At Home Care Hospice, 3386 Holland Road, Virginia Beach. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
