MAMIE EDMONDS

Mamie Edmonds, 90, of 4245 Williamson St., died Saturday March 2, 1996, in a hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk County and the widow of the late William Edmonds. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and its Deaconess Board and Mother's Club. She was also a member of St. Thomas Order of Eastern Star (NU)51.

Survivors include four sons, Frank Odom of Chesapeake, Ray Odom of Norfolk, Spencer Odom and James Odom, both of New York City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Doris Lee Williams of Portsmouth; a loyal cousin, Ruben T. Edmond of Norfolk; a sister-in-law; two daughters-in-law; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church by the Rev. Jake Manley. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. A wake will be held at Graves Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
