VIRGINIA BEACH - John Leroy ``Baby Jim'' Brown, of the 2900 block of Princess Anne Road, died March, 4, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
He was a retired self-employed plasterer and a native of Princess Anne County, Va. He was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Virginia Beach. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Bernice Brown; foster son Rayburn Prenell Butler of Virginia Beach; sister, E. Roberta Call of Virginia Beach; and brother, Thomas Reuben Brown of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Larry Hinton in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 3 p.m. and will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at the residence for the procession at noon. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
