Dorothy T. Pearcey, 80, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996 in Maryview Hospital.
A native of Roanoke, she had been a Portsmouth resident for 52 years. Mrs. Pearcey retired from Portsmouth School System as cafeteria manager after 25 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth and the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacqueline Judd of Newport News; three sisters, Helen Adkins of Rowlett, Texas, Lois Edwards of Richmond and Mary Goodwin of Indianapolis, Ind.; her brother, John M. Campbell of Arlington, Va.; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Judd Garner of Richmond and Steven E. Judd of Centerville, Va.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Peninsula Funeral Home by Rev. Walter Kennedy. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from noon until the time of service. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 515 Court Street, Portsmouth, Va. 23704.
