John R. Kellam Jr., 75, of Rivercrest Drive, died March 7, 1996, at a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Kellam, a native of Cradockville, Va., was a retired tire salesman from Interstate Tire Co. He was a member of Broadwater Masonic Lodge (NU)71, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple, and Community United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise N. Kellam; a daughter, Deborah K. King and her husband, Preston, of Portsmouth; a son, Larry P. Kellam and his wife, Paula, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Helen Presty of Bay City, Mich.; a brother, William C. Kellam of Salisbury, Md.; three grandsons, Kevin, Nolan, and David; and a stepmother, Estella Kellam of Cradockville.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. John A. Bright. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Community United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
