Stella Myrtle VanNoy, 88, of Bolling Road, died March 7, 1996, at a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. VanNoy, the widow of Howard F. VanNoy, was a native of Charleston, W.Va. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include two daughters, Beatrice J. Thibo of Bumpass, Va., and Sheila G. Wentworth; three sisters, Bessie Teeter of Gerardstown, W.Va., Dorothy Anderson of Lynn, W.Va., and Ocie Smith of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. John Bright. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
