Mildred Harper Pierce, 82, of the 900 block of Old Homestead Lane, died March 8, 1996 in Norfolk.
She was born in South Norfolk and was the widow of Jack Louis Pierce. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Pierce of Virginia Beach; a son, Allen Pierce of Chesapeake; three sisters, Mary Harper Ainsley of Chesapeake, Ruth Harper Venters of Edenton, and Ethel Harper Sherrard of Burke; and a grandson, Jeffrey Allen Cherry of Richmond.
A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, the Rev. Willis Dowling presiding. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake in charge. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, 29 Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
