SUFFOLK CITY COUNCIL ACTIONS

City Council meetings are telecast live beginning at 7 p.m. on Municipal Access TV/Channel 13 on Falcon Cable. Telecast is repeated at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. The work session on the fourth Wednesday is taped and aired at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. the following Thursday through Sunday.

The City Council took the following actions at its meeting Wednesday:

Consideration of Conditional Use Permit Request C19-95 in which the applicant is proposing to locate a single-wide mobile home on a parcel of land containing an existing single-family dwelling to house a bona fide farm tenant who also will care for the elderly parent of the property owner. Approved, 7-0

An ordinance amending Chapter 16, titled ``Motor Vehicles and Traffic,'' of the Code of the City of Suffolk, to provide for regional vehicle license enforcement - second reading. A resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into compacts for the regional enforcement of local motor vehicle license requirements with localities in the Hampton Roads region. Approved, 7-0

An ordinance authorizing the submittal, acceptance and appropriation of $25,000 in funds for a grant for the Chesapeake Bay planner position - first reading. No vote on first reading

A resolution requesting the Virginia Department of Transportation to include Chelsea Mews and Duckwood Court in the Point Harbor Subdivision in the State Secondary Road System. Approved, 7-0

A resolution authorizing the city's director of finance to be the designated fiscal agent for all matters pertaining to federal disaster assistance and provide all assurances and agreements as necessary. Approved, 7-0

A resolution supporting the Schools Capital Projects for FY 1996-97. Approved, 7-0

Establish a City Council Work Session for Wednesday, March 20 at 4 p.m. unless canceled. Approved, 7-0
