Mildred Glenn Underdown, of the 5700 block of Susquehanna Drive, died March 9, 1996, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Underdown, the widow of Dennis G. Underdown, was a native of Sumter, S.C. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy E. Mitchell of Virginia Beach; a son, Richard G. Underdown of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Arthur and Rex Mitchell and Shelley and Glenn Underdown.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Glad Tidings Church by the Pastor Gerald Qualis. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The body will be taken to Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. for a visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Glad Tidings Church, 301 S. Newtown Road, Norfolk, 23462. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
