Mary Herbert Watkins Laine, 90, died March 9, 1996.
She was the widow of Elliott Russell Laine and the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Mayme E. Carr Watkins. Mrs. Laine was a charter member and past president of the Windsor Woman's Club and an active church member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Elliott Russell Laine Jr. of Springfield and Herbert Watkins Laine of Great Bridge; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Windsor Congregational Christian Church. The Rev. Basil L. Ballard will officiate. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service at the residence, 11 N. Court St. Memorial donations may be made to the church or to Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
