Mrs. Leonora Weiss Cowdrey, 79, following a brief illness, died peacefully with her family around her on Sunday, March 10, 1996.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Newport News, by the Rev. Harry W. Crandall. Memorials may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Virginia Coast Reserve, attn.: Karen Schuyler, 1233-A Cedars Court, Charlottesville, Va. 22903-4800. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
