R. Douglas ``Dougie'' Thompson, age 23, died Sunday, March 10, 1996.
Doug graduated in 1990 from Highland Springs High School, where he lettered in wrestling, baseball and golf. He was employed with Otis Elevator of Richmond and was a member of the IUEC Local (NU)51.
He is survived by his parents, Fred and Sandra Thompson of Toledo, Ohio; two grandparents, Mrs. Louise Hooten and Mr. Harry Stone; one brother, Alan Thompson, Jr. and his wife Brenda; a nephew, Joshua Thompson; eight aunts and uncles; and 34 cousins.
His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. today and where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Internment in Washington Memorial Park.
