Regarding ``Beach board to pay legal fees of members'' (Metro-News, March 7): Once again the Virginia Beach School Board has shown its inability to grasp reality. The notion that the board somehow has money to spend to defend board members against grand-jury indictments serves as another example of poor judgment. That isn't their money they are talking about spending; its our money.
More taxpayer/school system money is going to be wasted so that Mr. Jackson can bluster about and try to assuage his wounded ego. I was initially displeased to hear the universal condemnation of the sitting board. I thought some members were being wrongly accused. Now I see what the grand-jury members saw.
The entire board should resign now, today, before they do more harm to the school system.
