SYLENEA M. JAMES

Sylenea Mirranda ``Lenea'' James, of the 2300 block of Grandy Ave., died March 10, 1996, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk and a full time student at Norfolk State University. She attended Faith of Deliverance Christian Center, Norfolk, and was a volunteer at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Norfolk.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia D. James of Norfolk; her father, Sylvester Coleman of Portsmouth; a sister, Crystal D. James of Norfolk; a brother, Patrick W. James of Norfolk; maternal grandmother, Dorothy E. James of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Gracie Coleman of Portsmouth; a special friend, Ebony Woodard of Virginia Beach; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Raymond Dean. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
