James H. Goosby
NORFOLK - James H. Goosby, 77, of the 2600 block of Harrell Ave., died March 9, 1996, in DePaul Hospital.
He was a supervisor for Norfolk and Western until he retired after 43 years. He was a native of Nemours, W.Va., and was a Methodist.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine E. Goosby; two sisters, Bernice Vaughan of Greenville, S.C., and Arlene Denazdo of Mt. View, Calif. He was predeceased by his son, David Goosby.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman at Smith and Williams, Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund.
