Melvin Winslow Rogerson, 76, of 1015 N. Broad St., died Monday March 11, 1996, in the Chowan Hospital.
A native of Perquimans County, Mr. Rogerson was a son of the late John Edward and Mary Jane Winslow Rogerson. Mr. Rogerson had owned and operated a country store and was a member of the Great Hope Baptist Church in Hertford.
He is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Chappell and Emma Byrum, both of Hertford.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Edenton by Dr. Kenneth Word. Burial will follow in the Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of Lillie Mae Rogerson, 1015 N. Broad St., in Edenton.
