Barbara Jean Suggs, 61, of Rich Avenue, died March 12, 1996, in her residence. She was a native of Reidsville, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lee Suggs; four daughters, Tammie J. Muncher of Norfolk, Pamela Biester of Philadelphia, Susan Devine of Rockville, Md., Julie Suggs of Triangle, Va.; three sons, Jason Suggs of Norfolk, Gary Clayton of Holiday, Fla., Deane Clayton of Theodore, Ala.; four sisters, Elaine Rainey of Greenville, S.C., Joann Williams and Pansy Wilson, both of Reidsville, Tootsie Belton Cochrane of Salem, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Heather Muncher, Brandon Muncher, Charles Clayton, Michael Clayton, Lauren Clayton, Joby Clayton, Samantha Clayton, Jessica Clayton, Taylor Henson, Carly Bradford, Lindsey Biester, Kelly Biester; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Clayton Jr.; two brothers, Billy Belton, Thomas Belton; and three sisters, Bessie Medlin, Emie Lapish, and Annie Belton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Chaplain Phillip Holwager. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
