Alese ``Elise'' Davis, 83, of Oaktree Point Retirement Home, died March 11, 1996, at Lafayette Villa Nursing Home.
She was a retired home engineer and a native of Bennettsville, S.C. She was a member of Oakwood Chapel Church, Disciples of Christ, Norfolk, and the Florist Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Louella Brown of Norfolk; a son, Paul Davis of Cincinnati; a sister, Louise Beasley of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Lou Davis and Simon Davis.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday at Oakwood Chapel Church, Disciples of Christ, by the Rev. C.N. White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. to noon. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is in charge.
