SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Breaking and entering, 2600 block Bridge Road, March 6, someone entered a business by prying the rear window off its track. A Magnavox 19-inch color TV and VCR were removed.

Breaking and entering, 6100 block Bradford Drive, March 6, someone entered a residence by breaking out a rear window. A small safe was opened, and $700 was removed. Also taken was a 9mm Hi-Point handgun, an RCA VCR and stereo speaker.

DISTRICT B

Lost/stolen, various locations, March 1, Suffolk city decals were reported missing.

DISTRICT C

Strong-arm robbery, 100 block South Saratoga St., March 1, someone snatched a woman's purse and fled. It contained the owner's license, about $400, a Social Security check and other papers.

Aggravated sexual battery, 100 block Brewer Ave., March 1, a man fondled a juvenile.

Petty larceny, 400 block Market St., March 1, a woman reported her Suffolk city decals missing.

Breaking and entering, 900 block Brook Ave., March 2, police discovered a business had been broken into. An electric typewriter, computer keyboard, printer and monitor and Magnavox 4-head VCR were removed.

Breaking and entering, 300 block South Saratoga St., March 5, someone entered a business and removed tools valued at $750 from a closet.

Grand larceny, 100 block Chestnut St., March 6, someone reported that an acquaintance removed about $200 from a residence.

DISTRICT D

Strong-arm robbery, Culloden and Knight streets, March 2, a man was approached by three men while walking down a street. They removed a gold rope chain with a cross, an Elgin watch and a gold, diamond cluster ring.

Grand larceny, 800 block East Washington St., March 3, someone removed a black, 2-door, '82 Chevy Cavalier from a restaurant parking lot. The keys had been left in the vehicle.

Breaking and entering, 100 block Commerce St., March 4, someone entered a business by forcing a rear door. Cartons of cigarettes were removed.

Strong-arm robbery, Spruce Street and Van Buren, March 6, a man was approached by three men who demanded money. The victim was struck when he advised that he had no money.

Motor vehicle theft, 600 block Railroad Ave., March 7, the owner locked the keys of his white, 4-door, '95 Plymouth Neon inside the vehicle. When he returned with a spare set, the car was gone.

DISTRICT E

Breaking and entering, 3000 block Carolina Road, March 4, someone attempted to break into a residence.

Petty larceny, 100 block Raleigh Drive, March 5, someone removed a Suffolk city decal from the windshield of a van parked in a driveway.

Grand larceny, 6900 block Holy Neck Road, March 5, after tenants vacated property by court order, owner discovered items missing, including a G.E. refrigerator and Kenmore electric stove. Carpeting was destroyed and siding melted.

DISTRICT F

Grand larceny, 300 block Babbtown Road, March 6, someone entered a yard and removed a Kenwood stereo faceplate, a Caustic stereo amplifier, a Kenwood 10 CD changer, a set of box speakers, and an Escort radar detector.

Grand larceny, 300 block Babbtown Road, March 6, someone broke out the driver's side window of a vehicle and removed a Pioneer CD player. by CNB
