JAMES L. MCCLARY

James L. ``Jimmy'' McClary, 50, of the 1500 block of Barbour Drive, died March 11, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

He was a native of Norfolk and a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth, where he was a member of the Senior Choir, Gospel Choir, and the Angelic Voices.

He is survived by a sister, Estella McClary of Portsmouth; two adopted sisters, Linda Riddick and Deborah Jordan, both of Portsmouth; a brother, Donald McClary of Portsmouth; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and a very special friend, Charles Brown.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. T.M. Steele in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
