Meta B. Sneed, 81, of the 9600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died March 13, 1996, in a local hospital.
She was born in Bladen County, N.C. Mrs. Sneed was a longtime member of the Ocean View Baptist Church and the Camille Griffen Sunday school class. Mrs. Sneed was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Sneed.
Survivors include a sister, Rachel Bell of Florida; brother, Gordon Bloodworth of North Carolina; two nieces, Linda Bingham of South Carolina and Patricia Hylton; and nephew, Lee Simpson, all of Virginia Beach; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members who reside outside of Virginia.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Ocean View Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. David N. Clay. A visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hampton National Cemetery. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
