Mary E. Betz, 77, of the 3700 block of Sentara Way, died March 13, 1996, at Sentara Nursing Center, Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Betz, the widow of Thomas Frank Betz Sr., was a homemaker who made her home in Virginia Beach for the past 46 years. She was a native of Des Moines, Iowa.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Frank Betz Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Virginia Beach; a sister, Pearl Pierick of Des Moines; two brothers, Frank W. Maier and George L. Rhone, both of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Kimberly A. Betz of Suffolk and Todd B. Betz of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park, Witchduck Road. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Virginia Beach, 3750 Sentara Way, Virginia Beach, 23452.
