ELMA V. NOVACK

Elma Vera Novack, 78, of the 4200 block of Summerset Drive, died March 12, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

She was a member of Cradock Presbyterian Church and was past matron of Victory Chapter (NU)16 Order of the Eastern Star, past president of the Women's Club of Cradock. She was active in her church in past years. She was a native of New Boston, Ill., and is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Clifford Novack.

She is also survived by three sons, Nathan Karl Novack of Wallops Island, Va., Charles Lawrence Novack of Portsmouth, Dennis Walter Novack of Manassas, Va.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Richard Lovingood in Loving Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Building Fund of Cradock Presbyterian Church. The family will be at the funeral home today where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m. with visitation to follow.
