TWENTY TO BE PRESENTED AT DEBUTANTE COTILLION

Twenty high school seniors will be presented to society Saturday at the Gamma Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's 1996 Debutante Cotillion.

``A Pink and Green Fantasy'' will be held at The Showcase.

Before the event, the debutantes will have attended a performance of ``The Colored Girls'' at Norfolk State University, a retreat and a mother-and-daughter fashion show.

Community service projects included serving as Salvation Army bell ringers, running a voter registration drive at Tower Mall, a United Negro College Fund local Telethon and a Mentor Day at S.H. Clarke Academy.

This year's debutantes are:

Tisa B. Barrett, a student at Woodrow Wilson High and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Barrett of Portsmouth.

Candice M. Booker, a student at Woodrow Wilson High and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Booker of Portsmouth.
