Donald W. Bailey Sr., 54, of the 500 block of Taft Drive, died March 13, 1996.
He was born in Norfolk and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses where he was a ministerial servant. Mr. Bailey was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired barber.
He is survived by his wife, Corinne W. Bailey; a daughter, Yolanda C. Pritchard; a son, Donald W. Bailey Jr.; a sister, Cheree Thomas of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother Lloyd Thomas of Los Angeles; an aunt; a great-aunt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4050 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth. Elder Michael Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral home in charge. The remains will lay in state at 12:30 p.m. Monday.
